Pour over coffee is one of the purest ways to brew. With just hot water, fresh grounds, and a little patience, you can coax out the delicate flavors of a single-origin bean.
What You’ll Need
- A gooseneck kettle with temperature control
- Freshly roasted beans (ours are roasted within the last two weeks!)
- A burr grinder
- A pour over dripper and paper filter
Step-by-Step
- Grind: Use a medium-fine grind, about the texture of sea salt.
- Rinse the filter: This removes paper taste and preheats your dripper.
- Bloom: Add 2x the coffee weight in water, wait 30 seconds.
- Pour: Slowly pour in spirals, keeping the water level steady.
- Enjoy: Total brew time should be around 3 minutes.
