Why Small-Batch Roasting Matters

When coffee is roasted in huge industrial batches, it is often pushed darker than necessary to create uniformity across thousands of bags. The result? Beans that lose their origin character.

Freshness You Can Taste

Small-batch roasting means we roast often — usually every week. The beans on our shelf are never more than 14 days off the roaster, so the flavors are vibrant, aromatic, and full of life.

Flexibility and Craft

Because our batches are small, we can adjust the roast profile for each origin. A delicate Ethiopian heirloom gets a lighter touch, while a bold Indonesian bean can be developed deeper. It’s craftsmanship, not assembly.

Better for Farmers, Better for You

We buy in small lots from farmers we know by name. That means better prices for them and better coffee for you.
